On Monday, Delhi Police received a complaint against Amazon delivery man for duping customer. The 22 year old delivery boy told the customer that the order has been cancelled and they will get refund soon.
The customer had booked the mobile phone on amazon site. But instead of delivering order , the delivery boy kept the order with him and told the customer that their order has been cancelled and soon they will get refund from Amazon.
Later, customer checked the order, he found that the site is showing ordered delivered. He contacted Amazon for refund , but the company told him that the phone has been delivered to him.
The complainant ,registered an FIR under IPS Section 420 in Kidwai Nagar Police Station, South Delhi. The police later discovered that the delivery boy sold the phone to another man in return of cash.
Manoj, the identified name of delivery boy was arrested by Kidwai Police and mobile phone was recovered from Dhamvir, to whom the Manoj sold the phone. Manoj told the police that the reason behind committing this fraud was need of money.
